The expedition consists of a 20 minute safari, driving on 4×4 vehicles passing through rivers, beautiful views and landscapes

Once we get to the end of the mud road, horses will be waiting for us at the edge of the primary rainforest.

From this point we’ll proceed to horseback ride for an approximate of 30 minutes trough giant old growth forest , until reaching a typical Costa Rican wood house belonging to one of the first conservationist of the peninsula.

Here we will enjoy a fresh brewed cup of coffee “jungle style “while changing into river gear. Proceeding to horseback ride for another 30 minutes through rainforest until reaching the edge of a mountainside.

We hike down a well marked trail with minimum degree of complication for some 300 meters until we reach the fresh, clear waters of the Rio Claro or “Clear River”.

What to Bring:

Bathing shoes or water shoes, sun block, bottle of water

Once here we will proceed to float down stream with personal floatation devices with a minimum degree of complication due to the fact that the floating takes places in big river lagoons surrounded by giant primary rainforest.  The floating is slow and safe.

Natural snacks will be provided like pineapple to increase the stamina for the hike back up hill to the horses. Were we’ll ride again for 30 minutes to the typical house.

A delicious Costa Rican style lunch will be waiting for us. Soothing for the body and soul.

A fresh brewed coffee as digestive and then we’ll ride the horses again for another 30 minutes through giant rainforest until reaching our original   departing point. The cars will be waiting to take us back to our hotel after a full day of adventure and expedition through the heart of the South Pacific of Cost Rica’s Osa Peninsula.
